Driving lessons: first day

Yeaaaaay! (just trying to free my mind)

After the first contact with my teacher (a man aged approximately 55-60), he suggested me to check the position of the rear-view mirror and the seat (as normal). Note that my experience driving cars tends to zero, anyway he said:

Teacher – OK guy, start the engine, set first gear and go-go!
Me – WTF!?!?

I was a bit scared when he said me this, because we were in the middle of Gijón, with tons and tons of traffic. After a while zig-zagging between cars, vans and buses, fighting with the clutch-and-accelerator-mixture issue and hearing “Nacho, please, go slowly” the class reached the end.

It’s a bit annoying when the teacher helps you with pedals because it’s impossible to know how exactly pedal behaviour is.

In a few words, could be better. I’ll continue improving my skills next week.

Extending my Firefox’s capabilities!

This is just another list of Firefox extensions I’m using at the moment:

  • Google Toolbar for Firefox – Useful Google utils pack (includes search, of course).
  • del.icio.us – All I need to manage my social bookmarks.
  • ColorZilla – Interesting extension to extract colour codes directly from websites.
  • VideoDownloader – Well known add-on.
  • Forecastfox – And if it rains tomorrow?.
  • PDF Download – Just a dialog to choose between open, download, or show as HTML the downloaded PDF files.
  • Download Statusbar – Enhanced and interesting download manager.
  • Colorful Tabs – Put colours in your life!
  • Flashblock – Flash really sucks, prevent it for me!
  • Extended Statusbar – Adds more information about the loaded website, for example spent time or download speed.
  • Tab X – Adds an independent kill button to each tab.
  • Link Alert – Prevents me to download rubbish, like Microsoft Word documents.

Excuse me, I forgot all the links to these extensions, feel free to search them yourself ;)

This ultraextended Firefox makes my life easier!
