Discovering new bands
Paying tribute to the girl who pointed me out to this fantastic indie band, I’d recommend listen to Move on Now, crafted by Hard-Fi.
Sweet taste, deep melody.

Thanks for the note. I wish I had a way to get the entire album and listen to it a couple of times. It’s too expensive to just buy it, and 30 seconds aren’t enough to make up my mind.
When will the recording industry learn that there are quite a number of people like me out there: stream/download the album and buy it if they like it, otherwise toss it. That makes happy consumers.

hi there, just thought i would mention the music discovery site based on the genome project, if you haven’t already heard of it.
Not sure how long they are going to stay up but its an excellent way of finding out new music :-)

@madduck
I completely agree with you.
@sno
Yeah, I heard about Pandora. I also know about the discovery mode of last.fm but it is subscriber-only and I don’t really see any reason to subscribe besides that.

Totally agree. I heard about this new indie band (ultrasonic jones)…they at least had the smarts to post their stuff at broadjam.com. (their website only has a sampling of the tunes, but broadjam has the entire album available for preview and if you like can buy it). Makes much more sense than getting the usual 20 seconds that amazon and everyone else gives. Anyways, have a good one.
