Discover, rename and launch!

This is exactly what OSX developers did with Leopard and Spaces. Isn’t this feature available for ages in lots of GNU/Linux desktops? Are OSX users definitely (re-)discovering how to work natively with virtual-desktops?, let’s see what Apple says in Leopard’s main website:

You do a lot on your Mac. So what happens when all those projects pile up? Easy. Use Spaces to organize all your windows into groups and banish clutter completely. A Space for everything and everything in its Space. Only with Mac OS X Leopard.

What the fuck? Only with Mac OS X Leopard? AAAAAAAAA!

If El Comercio says it, it must be true. It could be interesting to know what is the general criterion to judge how much better than other a web is.

Painful.

Driving lessons: first day

Friday, October 6th, 2006

Yeaaaaay! (just trying to free my mind)

After the first contact with my teacher (a man aged approximately 55-60), he suggested me to check the position of the rear-view mirror and the seat (as normal). Note that my experience driving cars tends to zero, anyway he said:

Teacher – OK guy, start the engine, set first gear and go-go!
Me – WTF!?!?

I was a bit scared when he said me this, because we were in the middle of Gijón, with tons and tons of traffic. After a while zig-zagging between cars, vans and buses, fighting with the clutch-and-accelerator-mixture issue and hearing “Nacho, please, go slowly” the class reached the end.

It’s a bit annoying when the teacher helps you with pedals because it’s impossible to know how exactly pedal behaviour is.

In a few words, could be better. I’ll continue improving my skills next week.

Bullshit

This is my feedback to this stuff:

I will definitely put this function on my final year project, to see how dummies comment its usefulness with any context available.

namespace laughtersSpace
{
template < typename FOO >
FOO functionToDummies (FOO bar)
{
return bar;
}
}

In short, the Internet is not suitable for everyone skilled to type with a keyboard.

Rolle, another mathematical key

Friday, September 8th, 2006

Breaking news: Vista could divide by zero in its final release!.

Well, now serious stuff, like few posts ago, time to mention another mathematical milestone:

Let f be differentiable on the open interval (a,b) and continuous on the closed interval [a,b]. If f(a)==f(b), then there is at least one point c in (a,b) where f’(c)==0

That’s all folks!
